Snow in Houston

Well, it doesn't happen often....only two other times in the eight years I've lived here, and this is the earliest it's ever snowed here. I live southeast of Houston, and am closer to the gulf than other places....so when it does snow, we don't usually get hit. Not so today. Today, we got it worse than the north (at least up unitl now). Here's a few pictures:

Lovely pictures. It's foggy, muggy and rainy here in Florida.

OMG! If you got it in Huston, it's probably heading my way. I need to head out for provisions.
Love the pictures. Spent part of my youth in Ohio, and I've missed real winters. Out snow turned to ice so fast, but it looks like you got some good stick to your snow. Hope you and the children enjoy it.
Happy Snow Angel Day!

ANNA KATHRYN--I'm still working on studying the "snow angel." We're in San Marcos--no snow, no moisture, bright blue skies. Very cold, though! My dh went to a bar-becue out on a friends ranch, and it's 36 degrees. They moved it to the horse barn and brought out space heaters. I'm glad it was a men's only thing--I wouldn't have gone out in that cold. Our children were born in Houston--lived there four years--MANY years ago. No snow while we were there, but we were in a hurricane. Celia

A lovely dusting to usher in the Christmas season. Enjoy! (My shovel is already sitting by the back door!)

Celia, LOL. I had it spelled "angel" then thought, that's not right and changed it to "angle." Okay, don't go look, people, cause I spelled it back to the correct spelling!

Looks like you all had a great time playing in the snow. That storm is headed this way but rather than snow here in central NC, they are saying we might get an icy mix. As much as I hate snow, I hate ice worse! I was born & raised in MI, moving south in '99. I don't miss those long, cold, snowy winters a bit!

It is cold, cold, cold in Oregon.

AK, isn't that you "making" the angel? It looks like you from this "angle." :)

That's what Clear Lake looked like while I was down there. Rain washed it away by the time I got home. :( My daughter got to go outside with the rest of her pre-K science class to taste snowflakes they caught on their tongues! My father got 4" of snow in Brazoria county...

The beauty of snow in Houston is it will be gone in a few days. Enjoy it now.

Seldom get snow in SC. Driving in snow is okay. It is the ice that is bad.

Cute photos! I live where there is way too much snow. I think it's beautiful outside but the driving...sigh...I just can't stand that. lol

Great pictures of my beaytiful Niece's. Thank you for sharing. I was in East Texas where you would think we would get more than Houston but it only snowed for about 5 minutes there :(
