Holiday Cheer - Eggnod Bread

I just now found this recipe. If I'd seen it before, I would have posted earlier.  It sounds yummy. Good thing for me, my family will also be holding a Christmas celebration on New Year's Eve weekend. I think I'll make a loaf for that gathering!

Eggnog Bread

Ingredients:

2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup dairy eggnog
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. rum extract
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350⁰. Grease bottom of a bread pan.
Beat eggs, add sugar, eggnog, butter, rum and vanilla. Blend well.

Mix together flour, baking powder and nutmeg. Add to egg mixture. Stir until just moistened. Pour into greased pan.

Bake at 350⁰ for 45-50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean

Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool bread completely before slicing.

Merry Christmas Anna! This sounds yummy and I love eggnog. Must try this recipe only I have problems with loaves not wanting to get done in the centre and then the edges get crispy. I'm trying different things.

I was going to try this one tomorrow but I don't have any rum.

Oh, I was going to make this too. I was heading over here to find the recipe when I saw you posted, Loretta. Rum extract....in the spice aisle. I need to get some, mine most likely evaporated from lack of use. I don't have rum either...which when you think about it, is a sad thing....
