Thanks Anna for inviting me today.

My book BRIDE OF PASSION is now available.
If you like to read about the adventures of pirates, you’ll enjoy Andreas in Bride Of Passion. It's a Historical Romance set in New Orleans.

In schemes of greed and deceit, Claret is blackmailed and compelled to leave France, but vows to return one day…whatever the cost. During the voyage she encounters Andreas, a renegade pirate who has a debt to settle with an outlaw of the seas. Nothing will prevent him, not even the redheaded enchantress with a temper that matches his own.

Being a member of writing groups helped me to become a published author. I am member of a local chapter, Heart of Louisiana RWA (www.heartla.com) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and several online historical writing groups.

I enjoy working, painting, photography and I’m a Red Hat member. In the summer and winter my family enjoys traveling and snow skiing together.

Doing research for books makes writing Historical Romances challenging and fun. My novels have intrigue and action filled plots and I add interesting historical facts to the stories.

Bride Of Passion begins in France’s wine country. After I wrote the story, I had the opportunity to take a grand tour of France and stayed in a castle in the Bordeaux Wine Country. The story’s setting is in New Orleans.

All my author’s royalties from the sales of this book will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Baton Rouge to help in research to find a cure. My grandson, Casey, has Cystic Fibrosis. He is eleven years old and a very special and an active boy.

The book is available through www.amazon.com, www.wingsepress.com You can contact me on line at cajunwrites@aol.com or www.myspace.com/conniewriter. I’d love to hear from anyone to chat about anything about writing.

Sometimes writers get distracted and put their stories away unfinished. My advice to getting published is to pull out that work. Finish it. If you can write a story, the fine tuning can be done with a critique group.

MY motto is “Beware, characters WANTED for my next novel”.

Hi, friend. (Sylvia waving here) I can't wait to read Bride of Passion. If the characters have half the energy and gusto of your personality, they can't help but draw the reader into the story. Pirates and New Orleans? Now that's a sure fired winning combination.

Hi Connie,

Your enthusiasm about your books is contagious. I can hardly wait to read Brid of Passion. I love pirates and have written about one myself in a long-ago manuscript.

Keep up the good writing!

Hi Connie! So nice to learn about you. I was visiting your website and read about you and your hobbies. It's very nice. I agree, France is a wonderful country. Traveling for research must be very nice and rewarding. I really have to go and pick up the book, my holiday begins on Friday and I have to get lots of holiday reading and this sounds perfect for that. And you don't want to do anything else than buy the book, because the cause is so goood. Big credits for you because of that!

Hi Connie,
I love reading books set in Louisiana, but they've mostly been suspense and paranormals. I know the food and architecture in Louisiana is amazing.

Hello Connie, Congratulations on your boook being published. I used to like Frances Parkington Keyes books of the American south. Hope they soon find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. It's a cruel disease for children and their families. Laurel
