Highland Lassie Review of The Priceless Gift

Book Review: The Priceless Gift

She was the last person Gavin Halloway expected to see at his local Airport.

But there she was, Lynn, the girl he’d spent the last six months fantasizing about. The same girl he looked for, but couldn’t find, and the same one he thought about and longed for every day since their ship docked. But, since they decided to keep their relationship ANONYMOUS, and only for the length of the cruise, they hadn’t exchanged names and addresses. A decision Gavin had regretted ever since.

For the first time since the fiasco with his Ex-fiance and her brother plotting to steal his ranch out from under him, he’d found it hard to trust anyone- but he’d trusted Lynn.
-Completely. A piece of his heart had left the ship with her.

He was glad to see her, but doubts began to form in the back of his mind.
What was she doing in his hometown?

Was it a coincidence? Did she end up in Nowhere, Montana by accident? Was it fate?

No, Gavin knew in his heart that it wasn’t a coincidence. Hadn’t Jacob had an “Emergency” at the very last minute? The same way he’d talked Gavin into taking the tickets for the cruise? This was no coincidence. Lynn had to be Jacob’s sister, Christina.

Considering there were only a few men, and a couple of older women left in the terminal it wasn’t hard to deduce that he’d been fooled- again - Only this time by his best friend, and the woman he had grown to love.

Only things aren’t always what they seem.

Is Christina Lynn Scott, and her brother trying to bilk him of his fortune? The proof seems to be overwhelming.

Or is there something far-less sinister at work?? Or will they be ‘Two stepping round the Christmas tree?

You’ll have to read to find out!

Anna Kathryn Lanier has written a wonderful heartwarming story just perfect to stuff in someone’s stocking for Christmas!

I give this story 4 ****stars!

You know, I have this book digitally, but I'm holding off reading it until around Christmastime. Don't know about any of you, ladies, but I like reading holiday stories around the season! Seeing the book cover and the review reminded me. Hey, sometimes I can have a blonde moment of forgetfulness!

Yeah, I know. That's one bad thing about 'holiday' books. It seems you should wait to read them at the holiday.

I've read them throughout the year, too. And besides, this is 'Christmas in July.' :-)

I can never wait to read a holiday book during the holidays. I read it as soon as I get it.
