An article was in the Sunday Houston Chronicle that says, in part, "Unknown to most of them [computer users], their problem began when international hackers ran an online advertising scam to take control of infected computers around the world." The result will be that come July, when the FBI closes down the safety net they set up a few months ago, those with infected computers will no longer be able to access the internet. You are encouraged to visit www.dcwg.org and check to see if your computer has the virus.
I just checked my laptap, and it was very easy to do. It said that I was not infected. But it also said that the malware could have told them to tell me I wasn't infected....lol.
Here's the full Chronicle article. Also, here's an article at PC Mag Online about it.

Great Info!! Thanks so much!! Off to check mine now.
Thanks for posting that on the list this morning. Like I said, I'm passing on the info and will link to your blog post here also.
Btw, love the picture on your blog main page!
Best wishes,

My son accessed a link a while back that stated it was for a virus check - it gave us a virus. We had to wipe everything clean to get rid of it. Such a mess.
Does me no good. Because the "Checking for DNS Changer on Windows Vista (pending)" I tried. Nothing. And like you said you can't even believe what the DNS is telling you anyway...Oh dear!!
