MONSTER SPRAY
by Meb Bryant

Five-year-old Becca Strong reported monsters lurking outside her bedroom window. Unfortunately, nobody believed her...until she actually killed one.

Buy it now at Amazon or Barnes and Noble.

Good Morning, Anna Kathryn. Thank you for hosting Monster Spray. The thriller short story came to mind after watching my adult daughter tuck in our grandson. Like most children, he feared monsters were lurking in his room (thus delaying nightey-nightey). My daughter whipped out a spray bottle containing a homemade brew she dubbed Monster Spray and sprayed the room. The monsters died and he went to sleep. I took the story a few steps forward, adding a few paranormal elements. Thank you Marybelle and Melissa for stopping by. I have the "secret recipe" for monster spray if you need it.

Hi, Mary and Melissa. Thanks for stopping by!

Meb, what a great idea for helping the kids calm their fears! I have the story on my TBR list.

Hello Loretta, I'm glad you enjoyed Monster Spray. Can you imagine if your character in The Rising met my Monster Spray? The storyline would probably resemble the volcanoes in Hawaii!

Love it. But I like the story of how it came about even better.

Susan, Good to hear from you! When my own children saw "monsters" in their rooms, I'd walk into their room, scream and yell at the monsters until they left in fear. Monster Spray is much more efficient.
