A Fairy Tale

Two feet down; a hundred to go. The prince had better be in the tower.

Damn the sorcerer. Just because I wouldn't dance with him, he makes me a green frog. I never looked good in green.

Ouch! These bricks are hot.

If Prince Charming would just let down his blond locks, and pull me up, this would be a lot easier. One kiss, that's all it'll take. Bet he won't do it either, the jerk.

Ugh, I just broke a nail! Why didn't someone tell me being in a fairy tale would be this hard?

That's hilarious! I love it!! Great job!!!

Thanks, Paige. I wrote it several years ago for a flash fiction contest and won. I'd never done flash fiction before. It has to be less than 100 words.

I can see why you won! You did a great job!

So when the girl frog gets to the top, what's the prince look like??? HAHAHAH!!!

LOL...well, we know he has blond hair. And I don't think he's exactly 'prince charming.' LOL. Sounds a little conceited to me.

Conceited? The frog should go back to the bottom and find a nice man with a job and decent hair. HAHAHAHAH!!!

What a great excerpt. I can see why it won!

Oh, that's not an excerpt...that's the whole story....less than 100 words...

Hi, Anna,

Which came first, the image or the story? Because they fit perfectly!

Wonderful little flasher, definitely a winner.

Warmly,
Lisabet

Hi Lisabet. The picture came first. We were given the picture and told to write a flash fiction about it. I doubt there were more than 5 entries, as it was a small writer's group, but being a romance writer...I had to go that route.
